My name is Oscar Pena and I have been an educator for over 20 years. I have always had a love of knowledge and teaching since I can remember. My teaching experience began as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Zimbabwe, Africa. This is where I was able to be in the classroom for the first time. When I returned home to Miami, Florida I was able to work in a K-8 school as a Science Teacher. I enjoyed this position very much as I was able to teach there for 14 years.
During this time I sought to further my educational experience by expanding into international teaching. My international experience includes teaching in Panama, South America, Zimbabwe, Africa, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and Beijing, China.
My main field in science is Biology as is my university degree and professional certification. I was able to teach Biology for 8 years in UAE . I have experience teaching in many areas of science including Physics, Chemistry, Life Science, and Earth Science. I also have experience teaching middle school mathematics. The last year of my teaching experience also includes both tutoring and teaching online for various companies.
